The waters between Puerto Banus and the Strait of Gibraltar are home to resident populations of common dolphin, striped dolphin and bottlenose dolphin, with seasonal sightings of pilot whales and orcas. The most reliable sightings are on the western route towards Estepona, Sotogrande and into the Strait, where the deeper water and tidal flow concentrate marine life. A full day charter typically delivers 1 to 3 dolphin encounters along the route.
Maia Fair offers a more comfortable and exclusive dolphin experience than the larger commercial dolphin watching boats. Smaller group, no crowd, full luxury yacht facilities, and the captain can adjust speed and route in real time to follow sightings. Watersports, swimming and lunch are still included, so the day combines wildlife viewing with all the standard charter benefits. A half day private charter aboard Maia Fair starts from €4,375 for up to 12 guests. A full day is from €7,000. Overnight charters and multi day extended charters on application. All prices include experienced crew, fuel, watersports and entertainment systems. Catering and champagne packages quoted separately.
Maia Fair accommodates up to 12 guests on day charters and up to 6 guests overnight across 3 en-suite cabins. For larger groups of 16 or more, Maia Fair can be combined with the Saxdor 320 speedboat for up to 24 guests total.
Maia Fair anchors in spots chosen for the occasion and conditions, including Estepona coastline, Sotogrande deep water. The captain selects the best anchorage on the day based on wind direction, sea state and your group's preferences.
Yes. The crew coordinates catering through established Marbella suppliers, with options ranging from grazing platters to multi course Spanish menus. Champagne packages, floral arrangements, cakes and onboard catered lunch and Sotogrande Marina restaurants bookings ashore can all be arranged in advance.
Photography is welcomed onboard. Maia Fair has worked with several established Marbella photographers who know the boat and the best angles for both posed and candid shots. The crew can recommend photographers and coordinate timings on the day.
Maia Fair operates April through October in standard conditions. In the rare event of weather that would compromise safety or enjoyment, the captain consults with the lead guest and either delays the start, shortens the route, or rebooks for another date with no penalty.
